Summary

CS2Offer is a peer-to-peer matching platform for Counter-Strike 2 skins. Trades happen directly between users through Steam — we never hold your items, never see your password, and never ask for your Steam API key. This page explains exactly what we do collect, why, and what the CS2Offer Chrome Extension does on your computer.

What CS2Offer.com collects

When you sign in with Steam, we receive only the public information Steam exposes via its OpenID protocol:

• Your SteamID (a numeric public identifier)
• Your public Steam profile name and avatar URL
• Your trade URL, only if you provide it to us in your settings

We additionally store data you create on the platform: listings, trade offers, messages between you and trade counterparties, reputation events, and notification preferences.

We never request, store, or transmit your Steam password or your Steam API key. We never have access to your Steam Mobile Authenticator codes or session cookies.

What the CS2Offer Chrome Extension does

The CS2Offer browser extension is an optional companion that auto-fills the Steam trade window when you click "Open Steam Trade" on a CS2Offer trade page. It runs only onsteamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/*URLs. It reads the trade ID and item asset IDs from the URL parameters that CS2Offer adds to your Steam trade link, then calls Steam's own native functions to add those items to the trade window.

The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It does not contact CS2Offer's servers, does not read your inventory, and does not have access to any other Steam page or account information. Everything it does happens locally inside your browser tab.

You can uninstall the extension at any time fromchrome://extensionswith no effect on your CS2Offer account.

How we use your data

• Authenticate you and keep you signed in
• Show your listings to other users and match you with trade counterparties
• Deliver in-app messages and notifications about your trades
• Calculate and display your reputation based on completed trades
• Detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We share data only with the service providers required to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery
• Steam (Valve) — only the OpenID handshake at sign-in time

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage strictly to keep you signed in and remember your interface preferences (theme, dismissed onboarding modals). We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies that follow you around the web.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, export your trade history, or permanently delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Account deletion removes your profile, listings, and personal data within 30 days; anonymized aggregate trade statistics may be retained for fraud-prevention purposes.
